What to include in your request
- Approximate size of the area (square feet or acres)
- What's there: brush, small trees, large trees, stumps
- Whether you want stumps ground or removed
- Access for equipment
- Photos, if you can
Rules to check first
Larger clearing jobs can require municipal tree-removal permits and, in some areas, state environmental approvals (for example near wetlands or within the Pinelands). Check with your town before clearing. The contractor may be able to help.
